Really, ALL of the Duwamish Revealed events were community events! Everything was free, open to the public, and almost entirely family friendly. But we also worked with organizations and individuals in the community to produce several larger events and river-related activities:

TUKWILA REVEALED was an epic walk on June 21 (the summer solstice) exploring the south end of the river through storytelling, performance, and art-making. Produced by Greg Bem.

The WATER FESTIVAL on August 15 & 16 featured food, waterside activities, and traditional and contemporary performers  from Southeast Asia and Latin America. It was produced in collaboration with Las Promotoras and the UW Khmer Students Association.

REVEALING COAST SALISH CULTURES: Journeying by Canoe and Art celebrated the First People of the Duwamish with a canoe landing and celebration on September 12. Produced in collaboration with Welcome to Our Native Land and the Duwamish Longhouse.

Our GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION was a celebration of industrial landscapes and soundscapes.

We also organized boat tours and kayak tours in collaboration with the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition.
